E-commerce for DTC and retail brands that ranks and converts

We design and build Shopify and WooCommerce stores for DTC and retail brands: product pages, checkout, configurators, and the analytics behind them. Senior operators only, and the repo is yours.

E-commerce, Lumien industry overview
The situation

Senior e-commerce builds for DTC and retail brands

An online store lives or dies on a handful of pages: the product page, the cart, the checkout, and the search and category paths that feed them. Most stores leak revenue somewhere in that chain, a slow product template, a checkout with too many steps, a re-platform that quietly dropped its rankings, or analytics no one trusts. The channels that bring buyers in (organic search, paid, email, social) only pay off if the store behind them is fast and the funnel is clean.

We build and fix stores on Shopify and WooCommerce with senior operators on every project, no juniors learning on your account. We work from your real numbers in GA4, ship in 4 to 12 weeks depending on scope, and map every URL 1:1 when we re-platform so you keep your rankings. You get a repo and an analytics setup you own. We can run the store build, the SEO and the lifecycle marketing together, or just the piece you are missing.

What gets in the way

Where online stores lose revenue

The problems we see most in e-commerce are rarely about the product. They are about the pages, the checkout, and the systems that should be doing the follow-up automatically.

  • Slow product and category templates that fail Core Web Vitals and lose mobile shoppers before the page has finished loading.
  • Checkout friction from too many steps, forced account creation and surprise costs, which pushes shoppers to abandon the cart.
  • Redesigns and re-platforms that drop rankings because URLs, redirects and product schema were not migrated 1:1.
  • GA4 and GTM set up loosely, so ecommerce events, conversion values and channel attribution can’t be trusted.
How we help

What we build for e-commerce brands

Shopify & WooCommerce stores

Full store builds and rebuilds: product pages, collections, cart and checkout, wired to your payment, shipping and inventory setup. We work in whichever platform fits your catalogue and team.

Conversion rate optimization

We rework the product page, cart and checkout around your real GA4 data: fewer steps, clearer pricing, faster load. Every change is measured against the current baseline, not guessed at.

E-commerce SEO

Category, product and content pages built to rank, with product schema, internal linking and a URL structure search engines can crawl and trust. Built into the store, not bolted on after.

SEO-preserving re-platforms

Moving from one platform to another without losing traffic. We map every URL 1:1, carry over redirects and product schema, and watch rankings through the cutover so nothing disappears.

Product configurators

Custom configurators for made-to-order and multi-option products, with real-time pricing and options that feed straight into the cart and your order data. Useful for high-consideration purchases.

Email & lifecycle automation

Abandoned-cart, post-purchase and win-back flows in Klaviyo or your ESP, tied to the same GA4 and GTM tracking so you can see what each flow actually earns.

Common questions

What E-commerce teams ask.

Should I be on Shopify or WooCommerce?

It depends on where your business is. Shopify is faster to launch, hosted, and low-maintenance, good if you want to focus on selling and not on servers. WooCommerce on WordPress gives you more control over content, custom logic and hosting, with no per-transaction platform fee. We build on both and recommend the one that fits your catalogue, team and roadmap, not the one that is easiest for us. See e-commerce.

Will I lose my Google rankings if I redesign or re-platform?

Not if the migration is done properly. Most ranking losses come from broken URLs and missing redirects, not the new design. We map every old URL to its new one, carry over redirects and product schema, keep your content, and monitor rankings through the switch. Platform-to-platform moves are handled the same way. See redesign.

How long does an e-commerce build take, and what does it cost?

A focused store on Shopify or WooCommerce usually ships in 4 to 12 weeks, depending on catalogue size, custom features and how much content is involved. A configurator or a large migration adds time. We scope and price per project after a short discovery call, with no packaged retainers you don’t need. See pricing or get in touch.

Can you also run our SEO, ads and email after launch?

Yes. We can run the store build and the marketing that feeds it, e-commerce SEO, Google and Meta ads, and lifecycle email like abandoned-cart and post-purchase flows, or just the parts you don’t have covered. Everything is measured in the same GA4 and GTM setup so you can see what each channel earns. See our work.
