The starting point.
Pyshna is an online electronics and home appliance store offering smartphones, laptops, TVs, household appliances, gadgets, and seasonal products through its OpenCart ecommerce platform. The business depends on both paid advertising and organic traffic, making accurate ecommerce measurement essential for understanding customer behaviour, evaluating marketing performance, and improving the online purchasing journey.
Purchase-only data hid where shoppers left the buying journey
For ecommerce businesses, revenue is influenced by every stage of the customer journey rather than the final purchase alone. Customers often browse multiple product categories, compare products, add items to their cart, remove them, and return later before completing an order. Without complete ecommerce tracking, it becomes difficult to identify where customers abandon the buying process, which products generate the highest engagement, or which marketing channels produce the most valuable sales. Measuring only completed purchases leaves significant gaps in understanding customer behaviour and limits opportunities to optimise advertising and improve conversion rates.
Full GA4 ecommerce funnel plus multi-channel event tracking via GTM
A complete Google Analytics 4 ecommerce implementation was built using Google Tag Manager to capture every important step of the shopping journey. The implementation included the full GA4 recommended ecommerce event structure, allowing the store to measure product list impressions, product page views, add to cart actions, cart removals, checkout starts, and completed purchases. This provides complete visibility into how customers move from discovering products to placing an order. Beyond ecommerce measurement, additional event tracking was implemented for phone calls, email clicks, callback requests, and customer interactions with Facebook, Instagram, Telegram, Viber, Pinterest, and YouTube. These events help measure customers who prefer contacting the business directly before making a purchase, providing a more complete picture of how users engage with the store across different communication channels. Every event was validated before deployment to ensure accurate product, transaction, and engagement data is consistently collected within Google Analytics 4.

What the results meant.
The completed analytics infrastructure gives the business complete visibility into the entire ecommerce funnel instead of only final transactions. The marketing team can now identify where customers leave the purchasing process, understand which products generate the highest engagement, and evaluate the effectiveness of every acquisition channel. Reliable ecommerce data also improves campaign optimisation by providing Google Ads and other advertising platforms with higher-quality conversion signals. Combined with detailed engagement tracking across phone, email, and social channels, the business now has a scalable analytics framework that supports better budget allocation, more accurate reporting, and informed decisions for future ecommerce growth.
