A website care plan is a monthly website maintenance service: one flat fee covers the software updates, backups, security monitoring, and small fixes that keep a site healthy. Instead of paying a developer to rescue a broken site, you pay a smaller amount to stop it from breaking in the first place.

Most small-business sites fail quietly. A plugin update conflicts with the theme, a contact form stops sending, an SSL certificate expires, and the owner finds out weeks later from a confused customer. Maintenance exists to catch these problems before your visitors do.

You need a care plan if your site brings in leads or sales, runs on WordPress, or was built by someone who is no longer around to call. You probably do not need one for a static one-page site you plan to replace next quarter. We will tell you which case you are in. Backups you can actually restore

Backups stored off the server and tested. A backup nobody has ever restored is a hope, not a plan.

Security monitoring

Malware scanning, file-change detection, and login hardening. When something looks suspicious, a person investigates. You do not get forwarded a cryptic automated alert to decipher yourself.

Uptime monitoring

We watch whether the site is up and whether the things that matter (forms, checkout, booking) actually work. “The server responds” and “the site works” are different claims.

Small fixes and content edits

Swap a photo, fix a typo, update hours, add a team member. Small requests get handled inside the plan instead of piling up until they justify a project.

The price moves with three things. Complexity: an ecommerce store or a site with custom functionality has more parts that can break, so it costs more to maintain than a five-page brochure site. Workload: how many content edits and small fixes you send us in a typical month. Stakes: a site where an hour of downtime costs real money justifies closer monitoring and faster turnaround.

Roughly by site type: brochure and marketing sites sit at or near the entry price. Stores and sites with booking, membership, or custom integrations sit above it, priced after we have seen the stack. Custom applications are quoted individually.

Most website maintenance services hide their prices behind a sales call. Ours are public on the pricing page, and work beyond plan scope is billed at our published $40-95 per hour rate, quoted before we start the clock. We would rather lose the buyers who only wanted a mystery discount.

Most of the sites we maintain run WordPress, and WordPress is where maintenance matters most. The ecosystem’s strength, thousands of plugins, is also its main risk: every plugin is third-party code with its own update cycle and its own security history.
