A 14-week build that turned a phone-and-PDF quoting process into a one-click WebGL configurator with CRM hand-off. The system, the wins, and what we would do differently.
Golden State Trailers, a custom-trailer manufacturer in California, had a great product and a bad funnel: every quote required a phone call, a hand-drawn sketch, and three days of back-and-forth. Inbound was capped by how many quotes the team could write per week.
A WebGL configurator on the homepage lets dealers customize every trailer in real time, swap the chassis, change the deck, add lighting packages, see live pricing. On submit, the configuration becomes a PDF quote and a CRM lead, all in 30 seconds.
We underweighted the dealer training program. The configurator is intuitive for a buyer; for a dealer who used to walk customers through paper, the UX needed three rounds of in-person sessions before adoption stuck. Build the training program in week 1, not week 12.
